Our Past: In December 1999, God spoke through His divine intervention to our Pastor and gave him direction to continue leading His people according to His Word. After a period of much prayer, fasting, and seeking God for clear direction, the Lord made His will visible. The then Pastor of Greater Beulah Baptist Church (G.B.B.C.) understood that in order to carry out God’s command, a change needed to occur. Under the fear of God, guidance of the Word of God and control of the Holy Spirit, a decision was made to resign from G.B.B.C. and organize a new church. A New Millennium, A New Church, the Vision Continued- God’s way.
Our Humble Beginnings: Our new journey began on South 21st Street. We were blessed to share the Old Friendship Chapel Church with Living Word Missionary Baptist Church. It was after 12 months of service that the Lord saw fit to relocate us to our own facility at 388 North Beck Street.
We worshiped with meager accommodations: no air conditioning-only box fans, roll up doors-raised to where we could see down the street while we worshiped. We were relentless in pursuit of our destiny. With renewed vigor and sacrificial hearts the journey continued. In due season we were able to fashion our building into a more comfortable & accommodating place of worship. As God continued to give us favor we were blessed to purchase the property next door.
Our Dream: Currently we are in the process of burning our mortgages as well as completing Phases II through V of the Dream Building Project. We are thankful and excited about those who
have given their lives to the Lord through salvation, re-dedication to Christ, and those that have joined in with us to be a part of the work of the Kingdom. It is with great joy and sacrificial giving that we continue Together to Dream and to Build from Vision to Victory.
